It can only be used to attack opponents behind you, and its shape allows it to bounce at random trajectories. The more you charge, the farther you'll fly upwards. Unlike many other recoveries, you can still jump in mid-air after using it, allowing you to use additional recoveries or dodges after using the special. Their Up Special is Shock Spring Jump, and allows them to create a springpad to jump from - and when used in certain situations, you can use the pad to hit other players. Note that you can still be blocked or grabbed when using this move. This comes at a cost, as it can only be used five times per stock - as seen by the golden leaf icons that appear when using the move. Their Side Special is an invincible charging attack called Wonder Wing, which will have priority over most all attacks. However, by holding down B you can unleash Breegull Blaster, letting Banjo use Kazooie like a gun and move and shoot eggs at the time. See Banjo-Kazooie in action in the video below. So a 6 frame grab would be 10 frames out of shield.Banjo-Kazooie is available starting on September 4th, to those who who have purchased the Fighter's Pass DLC, or he can be purchased individually - and includes both the fighter, and the stage, Spiral Mountain, and all of its featured songs. Grabs used to happen instantly out of shield as well, but Ultimate added +4 frames to Grabs done after a hit connects with a shield.

Aerials have +3 frames added to them because it takes 3 frames to leave the ground, so a 3 frame aerial would be 6 frames out of shield. So, since some characters have a 3 frame Up B, -3 would be unsafe against those characters. HUGE EXCEPTION: Jump, Up B, and Up Smash out of shield ignores Shield Drop frames. So if all else was equal, you could be as disadvantaged as -11 on an attack and still be "neutral". However, in Smash there is Shield Drop which takes 11 frames in Ultimate. In most games, being negative means you can't apply pressure since the defending opponent would be able to act before you as the attacker. Negative meaning the defender can act before the attacker. Re: shield advantage - the +/- refers to who can act first after an attack hits a shield.

You're correct on the total frames stuff.
